Rebuilding Seattle
First up, one of our fabulous neighbours, Quinn Brander, made a board game!

Cover art of Rebuilding Seattle. A purple and pink toned cityscape with multiple cranes, and the title in red all caps above.

You are the city planner in charge of Rebuilding Seattle after the great fire of 1889. Your tasks are to manage economic resources, erect landmarks and buildings, and to account for the needs of the population as it grows from round to round.

Build! Carefully fit buildings into your neighborhood grid, and construct landmarks on the right tile combinations.

Expand! Suburb tiles connect to your grid however you like, creating uniquely shaped neighborhoods!

Score! Earn points for building types, upgrades, landmarks, events, and remaining cash!

Rebuilding Seattle also comes with a solo player deck so you can still compete to build the best version of Seattle even with just one player! Enjoy gameplay against a deck designed to simulate the actions of a second player to discover strategies and configurations you can use to improve Seattle!”

We’re pretty excited to play this one 🙂

Frosthaven

Box cover art for Frosthaven. An icy landscape featuring a battle between two fantasy style humanoids.

I’m sure you all remember the whirlwind adventures of Gloomhaven and, like me, are ready for more adventures. In Frosthaven, you get the books and maps and unlockable characters, but you also get city planning, seasonal rotations, loot to make items with, new characters and new races, not to mention all sorts of [spoilers! Seriously, so many story spoilers.]

Frosthaven is looking to be a bit more complex than its gloomy counterpart, and you can expect to spend quite some time getting acquainted with its very thick rule book.

Artisans of Splendent Vale

Box art for Artisans of Splendant Vale. Soft colours, rolling hills. There are four individuals of various genders and backgrounds frolicing in the foreground.

Nikki Valens has really nailed it with this beautiful choose-your-own-adventure style co-operative game. This diverse cast of sweet beans have their own books full of discoveries and crafts to hone. The game flits between individual encounters to build your own personal story away from the team, and co-operative tactical encounters relying on teamwork to solve. This one has quickly become a staff favourite with its inclusive cast of characters.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to swing by the store and let us know what you think of these new gems 🙂
